we try to produce as much of the food for our family here on the farm- this means preserving foods through fermentation and other delicious and healthy means~

    Whole Tomatoes, Sauce & Salsa

    We grow a variety of tomatoes and they are bountiful! Tomatoes are an absolute stable for so many meals and we don’t want any to go to waste~ prepare and can them just the way they are or use other ingredients from the veg and herb gardens to fit your palate.

    We have some wonderful, wild apples on the property but not much fruit other than that- a goal for the future! Luckily, We live in Ontario and we are blessed with so many local fruit providers that we can still can our favourite fruits to last the whole winter!

    Pickles! Any way you like!

    We grow a variety of cucs and they are bountiful! We eat them raw and our kids can’t get enough of them- but the rest… we pickle. We like em sour, with lots of garlic and dill…how do you like them? Give your custom pickles a place of pride alongside your fav sandy:)

    Speaking of sandwiches… or sausages.. gotta have sauerkraut. We love our cabbage and sauerkraut is a necessity. Quick, easy, refreshing and delicious.
