Coming Soon! Nature-Based Learning Program in Eastern Ontario
Serving families from Tamworth, Kingston, Napanee & the Land O' Lakes region
We believe that nature is our teacher and that our role as educators is to support and guide children in their own inquisitive learning experiences and interactions with each other and the environment.
our internationally experienced, Ontario certified teaching staff bring perspective and expertise to ensuring that meaningful, developmentally appropriate and inclusive learning experiences nurture curiosity, creativity, inquiry and respect for knowledge and all living things.
our learning groups are mixed ages to encourage leadership, empathy, compassion and problem solving. our learning activities revolve around nature, art, food and interdependence through Forest School style outdoor education and experiential learning aligned with and supporting Ontario Curriculum.
Curriculum Alignment
Our activities are designed to naturally support Ontario Curriculum strands in Science (Life Systems), Social Studies (Heritage and Identity), physical Education and The Arts. We provide a 'Learning Summary' at the end of each session that you can include in your annual homeschool portfolio.
Learning Groups
Our mixed-age groups (6–12 and 13–17) are intentionally designed to mirror a community, not a classroom. Older students develop leadership and mentorship skills, while younger children benefit from peer-modeling and collaborative problem-solving.
Inclusivity
A Space for Every Learner
We are committed to maintaining a sanctuary where every child—and every family—feels safe, seen, and celebrated.
A Secular Environment: Our programs are strictly non-religious and grounded in scientific inquiry, environmental stewardship, and creative expression.
Inclusive & Affirming: We are an anti-racist, queer-friendly, gender-affirming space. We celebrate the diversity of modern families and believe that every child matters and every child’s identity is a source of strength.
Neuro-Inclusive: We recognize that every child learns differently. Our outdoor setting and flexible, inquiry-led approach provide a low-stress environment for neurodivergent learners. This program supports learning, developmental, and emotional growth for ALL children including those with learning differences and special needs. Our program is staffed by educators with experience and training in supporting children with special needs and is eligible for SSAH/ACSD reimbursement or medical expense claim when prescribed by a licensed professional.
