Relief drawing in clay with instructor Ashley Doucette Pilles – Learn the ancient art of sgraffito to create a beautiful decorative plate for your house or garden! Sgraffito is the process of painting a clay surface a uniform colour and then carving away the surface to create a monochromatic drawing on the surface. This technique was used by the ancient Greeks and Romans and continues to be used by artists today. Participants will have a plate ready for them to create their drawings on. Plates will be food safe or can be used purely for decoration!
